Team Fitness Bingo
Each team gets a bingo card with 16 fitness challenges covering strength, endurance, and flexibility, and works to complete squares to call line and bingo. Students train every fitness component with independence and teamwork.
How to play
- Make 6 teams of 4. Each team gets a 4x4 card with challenges such as "40 jump rope skips," "1-minute plank together," "20 lunges each," or "2 laps of the blacktop together" (2 min).
- Explain that a square only counts when the whole team works at the same time, and that the teacher or a judge from another team signs it off (1 min).
- Teams choose the order of squares and get started. When they finish 4 in a row, they call "Line!" and earn a point (8 min).
- Take a 1-minute break for water and to plan which squares they still need for bingo.
- Second half: teams try to fill the whole card or as many squares as possible (6 min).
- Final tally: add points for lines and squares; each team shares which fitness component felt hardest (2 min).
Rules
- A square only counts if the whole team completes it with good form.
- Teams can't do two squares of the same exercise type back to back.
- Jump ropes are used in a separate area so nobody gets hit.
- Respect the judge's signature: if it isn't approved, redo the missing part.
Variations
Easier
Use a 3x3 card with fewer reps per challenge.
Standard
Use a 4x4 card with strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination challenges.
Harder
Corner squares are worth double but require twice the reps.
Adaptations
- Limited mobility: include alternative arm and core squares that can be done seated and count the same.
- Autism: a card with drawings of each exercise and a buddy who points to the next square.
- Lower fitness level: each student may use one wild card to do half the reps on a square.
Learning goals
- Practice exercises for each of the basic fitness components.
- Plan the order of tasks as a team to manage fatigue.
- Work together so the whole team completes the challenges.

Teacher tip
Make a different card for each team so they can't copy each other's order. Put the running challenges in the corners of the card so they are spread out across the game.
