Body Parts Bingo
Each pair has a bingo card with nine pictures of body parts. The teacher calls a body part with an action, like jump while touching your knee, and everyone does it; pairs with that part on their card run to grab a clothespin to mark it. Students call out line and bingo while everyone keeps moving.
How to play
- Prepare 3 x 3 bingo cards with body part pictures and leave a pile of clothespins by a center cone (setup).
- Form pairs and give each pair a card. Each pair stands about 25 feet from the center cone (2 min).
- The teacher calls a body part and an action: touch your ankle and do three jumps. The whole class does the action, whether or not that part is on their card (4 min).
- If the pair has that body part, one partner runs to get a clothespin, comes back and clips it on the square. Next round, the other partner runs (6 min).
- With a full row, the pair shouts line; with a full card, bingo, and the teacher checks that they name each part (5 min).
- Pairs trade cards and play one quick final round (3 min).
Rules
- Everyone does the called action, even without that body part on their card.
- Run to the cone on one side and come back on the other so no one collides.
- Take only one clothespin at a time.
- If a part is marked by mistake, remove the clothespin and keep playing.
Variations
Easier
Cards with six big body parts and simple actions, like touch or point.
Standard
Nine-square cards with jumping, turning or traveling actions.
Harder
Call only the action and have students figure out the body part, such as bend the part in the middle of your leg.
Adaptations
- For students with limited mobility, partners split roles: one does the adapted action and marks the card, the other runs for clothespins.
- For students who are deaf or hard of hearing, show a card with the called body part as well as saying it.
- For fitter students, move the clothespin cone to 45 feet away.
Learning goals
- Recognize body parts from a picture and from their name.
- Perform movements linked to the named body part.
- Follow game rules and take turns with a partner.

Teacher tip
Laminate the cards to reuse them and keep your own call list to avoid repeats; include less familiar parts like heel, nape of the neck and wrist to build vocabulary.
