How to play
- Easy walk with your partner, with gentle shoulder and wrist mobility (2 min).
- Point 1: the pair recalls the most important point they won and why (2 min).
- Point 2: they recall the point that hurt most to lose and which decision they'd change (2 min).
- Point 3 and takeaway: they pick a point where they coordinated well and share it with another pair as they pass (2 min).
Rules
- Walk, don't run, and don't stop midway.
- Talk about game decisions; don't blame your partner.
- Each pair shares at least one point where they did something well.
Variations
Easier
Recall only two points, one won and one lost.
Standard
Three key points with a shared takeaway.
Harder
Each pair rebuilds one full point shot by shot and shadows it at the end.
Adaptations
- Wheelchair users: the route stays on smooth ground and the partner matches the pace.
- Deaf or hard of hearing: the pair walks facing each other or pauses briefly to talk face to face, or writes on a sheet.
- Students who don't remember much of the match: can use the observation sheet if one was used in class.
Learning goals
- Bring intensity down by walking.
- Analyze tactical decisions from a doubles match.
- Communicate constructively with your partner.
Teacher tip
Works after any paired padel, tennis or fronton match. Walk the loop in the opposite direction yourself to overhear snippets and spot pairs who blame instead of analyze.
