How to play
- Everyone takes a ball and walks it toward the bag on the weaker foot (1 min).
- On the way, still dribbling, pick up a cone by hand and add it to the pile next to the bag (1 min).
- Second trip: sole-only dribbling, pulling the ball backward while walking backward, in threes for safety (2 min).
- The last cones are passed hand to hand in a chain while everyone stretches calves with one foot back (2 min).
Rules
- Always walk.
- Walk backward only with a partner calling out obstacles.
- Each ball goes into the bag by hand, no kicking.
- Nobody leaves until the ground is clear.
Variations
Easier
Free dribbling with either foot.
Standard
Weak-foot and sole dribbling.
Harder
Dribble two balls at once, one with each foot.
Adaptations
- Limited mobility: collects cones in a basket on the lap.
- Visual impairment: carries the ball by hand to the bag with a guide partner.
- Injury: counts the balls in the bag.
Learning goals
- Bring heart rate down actively.
- Refine dribbling with the less skilled foot.
- Take responsibility for shared equipment.
Equipment for a class of 25
- soccer balls: 15
- cones: 20
- ball bag: 1
Teacher tip
Put the bag in the middle to shorten trips. Typical error: kicking balls into the bag from afar; if it happens, that ball goes back to the start.
