Dragon Castle Rescue Movement Story

An adventure movement story in which knights and wizards cross bridges, moats and enchanted forests to recover the treasure of a sleeping dragon. Each scene is a motor-skill station that students perform in character with gestures, sounds and attitude.

How to play

  1. Gather the class (2 min): everyone is a knight or wizard of the kingdom. Point out the four challenges on the path.
  2. The bridge (4 min): in lines of 5, students cross the gym bench acting afraid of falling into the river; anyone who steps off retries with a brave gesture.
  3. The moat (4 min): they jump hoop to hoop watching for imaginary crocodiles and land on the mat on the far bank.
  4. The enchanted forest (5 min): wave the handkerchief and everyone becomes what you call (tree, rock, owl) for 5 seconds, then moves on in slow motion.
  5. The cave (5 min): students army-crawl under the long rope held by two classmates; if anyone touches it, everyone freezes for 3 seconds.
  6. The treasure (5 min): the class forms a giant dragon holding waists, "tames" it with a dance and talks about the hardest challenge.
