Cleanup Quiz: One Quadball Rule per Item
A cool-down that turns putting away the quadball equipment into a rules review. Each item returned is traded for an explained rule, so the group brings heart rates down walking while locking in what they learned.

How to play
- Two equipment managers stand by the bins with the question cards (1 min).
- Everyone walks to pick up one item (pole, hoop, bludger, ball or headband), brings it to the bin and answers the card they draw: what a goal is worth, what a player who gets hit does, what the gender rule says (3 min).
- Anyone who misses can ask a classmate for help, who explains the rule while they both pick up another item (1 min).
- The managers read out the two most-missed rules and the teacher clears them up (1 min).
Rules
- Walk while collecting, no throwing equipment into bins.
- Carry poles upright, never sideways through the crowd.
- If you know an answer, don't shout it: wait your turn.
- Everyone answers at least one card.
Variations
Easier
Multiple-choice cards.
Standard
Open-question cards.
Harder
Cards with a game situation to rule on as the referee.
Adaptations
- Students with limited mobility serve as equipment managers and read the cards.
- Deaf or hard-of-hearing students: cards show the question in writing, and they can point to the answer if they prefer.
- Students with reading difficulties have the manager read the question aloud.
Learning goals
- Lock in quadball's basic rules.
- Put equipment away in an orderly, safe way.
- Help a classmate understand a rule.
Equipment for a class of 25
- rule cards: 15
Teacher tip
Make the cards once and laminate them; they'll last the whole term. Typical mistake: the fast students grab everything and the rest answer nothing; limit it to one item per trip.
