Partner Imitation
Partner imitation: one partner leads slow movements and the other copies them like a mirror, switching roles.
How to play
- Partners face each other about 1 m apart.
- One is the model and makes slow arm, leg and trunk movements.
- The other copies them at the same time, like a mirror.
- Switch on the signal; in the last round nobody leads and both try to move together.
Rules
- Slow movements that can be followed.
- Hands don't touch.
Variations
Easier
Arms only.
Standard
Three 1-minute rounds.
Harder
Add traveling and level changes (standing, crouching, kneeling).
Adaptations
- Limited mobility: seated pairs.
- Autism: may stay as the model if more comfortable.
Learning goals
- Improve concentration and movement control.
- Build empathy and non-verbal communication.
