How PE teachers use it
- Station rotations: set 2 or 3 minutes and let the buzzer tell students to rotate.
- Warm-ups and cool-downs: a visible clock keeps transitions short.
- Mile run or PACER practice: use the stopwatch and record a lap for each student.
- Full screen on a projector or TV makes the time readable from across the gym.

Frequently asked questions
Does the timer make a sound?
Yes. Three short beeps play when the countdown reaches zero. Turn up your device or speaker volume, and tap Start once so the browser allows sound.
Will it keep time if I switch tabs?
Yes. The timer is based on the clock time, not on counting ticks, so it stays accurate even if the tab is in the background.
Can I use it on a phone?
Yes. It works in any modern phone browser. In PatioLab's in-class mode the timer also follows your lesson plan phase by phase.
