Who Am I? Sports Edition
In pairs, one student holds a card with a sport on their forehead without seeing it and asks yes-or-no questions to figure it out, while both hold gentle stretches between questions. Students practice reasoning, sports vocabulary, and cooling down.
How to play
- Pair students up, sitting face to face. Each pair takes 4 face-down cards with sports on them (swimming, judo, basketball, climbing...).
- Student A puts a card on their forehead without looking. Student B reads it silently and picks a gentle stretch for both of them.
- A asks a yes-or-no question ('Is it played with a ball?', 'Is it in the water?'); B answers, and both hold the stretch for 3 breaths before the next question.
- A has 8 questions to guess. Then they switch roles. Each pair plays 4 cards (8 min).
- Wrap up in a circle: each pair shares which question helped most, and everyone does one last stretch together (1 min).
Rules
- Only yes-or-no questions count.
- The answerer can't give clues with gestures.
- Always stretch and take 3 breaths between questions.
- Safety: stretches are gentle, with no bouncing and no pain.
Variations
Easier
Use picture cards of PE equipment (hoop, cone, ball) and allow 10 questions.
Standard
Well-known sports and 8 questions.
Harder
Less familiar sports (badminton, kayaking, team handball) and only 6 questions.
Adaptations
- Limited mobility: choose upper-body stretches done seated in the wheelchair.
- Visual impairment: the student with the card doesn't need to see; the partner quietly describes each stretch.
- Skill level: quick guessers must explain at the end what their sport and their partner's have in common.
Learning goals
- Ask effective questions to rule out options.
- Learn the features of different sports.
- Hold gentle stretches with controlled breathing.
Equipment for a class of 25
- cards: 52
Teacher tip
Make cards with a picture and a word so no one gets stuck reading. Model good questions at the start: the typical mistake is jumping straight to 'Is it soccer?'

Animal Yoga Pose Charades
In small groups, one student secretly draws a card and acts out the animal with a slow yoga pose; the others guess silently and then everyone copies it.
