Dodgeball
A cooperative-competitive dodgeball game with rescue rules to avoid long eliminations.
How to play
- Divide the court in two halves with a center line.
- 2 teams, one on each side, with 4 foam balls.
- Game starts on signal — throw to hit opponents.
- Anyone hit waits behind the opposing team for rescue.
- A long pass from your own team rescues (must arrive without bouncing).
Rules
- No throwing at the head.
- A ball caught in the air saves the thrower and frees a prisoner.
- Round ends when an entire team is eliminated or after 5 min.
Variations
Easier
Softer balls and wider center line for more margin.
Standard
Half-court per team, 4 balls, 5-minute rounds.
Harder
Only 2 balls and add "kings" — if they fall, the team loses.
Adaptations
- Fear of the ball: rescuer role (only passes balls).
- Reduced mobility: safe zone where throwing is not allowed.
Learning goals
- Motor Skills
