Cooperative Little Houses Game
Cooperative little houses: a game for young children where everyone must get into a "house" (hoop) on the signal, sharing when there aren't enough.
How to play
- Spread hoops on the floor, one for every two or three students.
- The group moves around to music.
- When the music stops, everyone finds a house.
- Remove hoops each round; classmates must share so nobody is left out.
Rules
- Nobody is left out: invite classmates in.
- Walk into the house.
Variations
Easier
Remove hoops slowly.
Standard
Remove one hoop per round.
Harder
Change the way of moving each round.
Adaptations
- Limited mobility: a hoop always nearby.
- Social difficulties: the teacher helps find a house.
Learning goals
- Encourage cooperation and inclusion.
- Develop locomotor skills and reaction.
